Charlotte Jeffers, left, and Dr. Eddie Palmer, center, were guests of the Crowley Lions Club Tuesday. Jeffers told Lions about plans for the third annual Classic Car and Antique Tractor Show to be held Saturday, April 14, along historic North Parkerson Avenue. Palmer discussed the city of Crowley’s efforts to be designated as an Official OST City and the OST feature to be included at this year’s show. Welcoming the two to the Tuesday meeting is President Patti Lawrence.

Car/Tractor Show plans talked

Since its inception three years ago, the Crowley Classic Car and Antique Tractor Show has grown exponentially.

Scott Freehan, executive director for Festival International de Louisiane, was the guest speaker for the Tuesday noon meeting of the Crowley Lions Club, explaining the behind-the-scenes task of putting on such an enormous event. This year’s festival will be held April 25-29.
