The Crowley Garden Club presented its May Garden of the Month award to Erin Lacombe and Paula Bouillion, whose residence is located at 820 S Ave G. Having lived there since 2019, they have brought this five-city lot compound surrounding the house back to abundant life. Magnolia trees, camellias, and Drift roses can all be seen from the front of the house. Azaleas, hibiscus, hydrangeas, birds of paradise, a vast variety of annuals and perennials, potted succulents, vegetable and herb gardens, and a beautiful Peggy Martin rose can all be found throughout the property.

The Civic Beautification award, presented each month to a business that demonstrates a commitment to beautifying the community, was given to Ginger & Ivy Beauty Parlor, located at 226 N Parkerson Ave. Formerly known as Shabby to Chic Salon & Spa, owner Hannah Stutes Fulgium rebranded her business upon her 10 year anniversary to what we know now as Ginger & Ivy Beauty Parlor. Located in downtown Crowley, in the beautifully renovated historic Duson building, presented in raised wooded planters are bright pink dianthus and light pink vining vinca highlighting the sides of the entrance of the building. Crowley Garden Club Member Brooke Frey Bouillion presented the awards for May.
