Bogue Chitto State Park RV sites have been reopened, but to Louisiana residents only.
The park, which is located in Franklinton, is also available to the public for day use only.
The Crowley Garden Club presented the Civic Beautification Award for the month of September to The Bank at 1311 N. Parkerson Ave. The Civic Beautification award is presented to businesses that exhibit pride in the community and try to instill pride in others in the community. The Bank Vice President Melinda Malmay, left, was on hand to accept the award from Crowley Garden Club member Kay Frugé.
The Garden of the Month Award was given to Kermit and Sue Menard, whose residence is located at 304 E. Fourth St. Frugé presented the award to Kermit Menard. The club strives to recognize gardens that exhibit pride in ownership and promote interest in nature and responsible stewardship of our natural resources.
This month at The Gallery, the Crowley Art Association is featuring the work of local artist Claire Doré.
