Blue Collar Boys, all Crowley natives, will make their Rice Festival debut Saturday at 5 p.m. on the Cramer Equipment Sound Stage.

Crowley band making Rice Festival debut

Wayne Toups won’t be the only Crowley native to perform during this weekend’s 81st International Rice Festival.
The Blue Collar Boys will make their Rice Festival debut Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the Cramer Equipment Sound Stage.
“We’re all from Crowley and kin to the Moutons, Spells, Habetzs, Thibodeauxs, LeBleus and Ancelets from Crowley and Roberts Cove,” said Aaron Thibodeaux, who plays guitar and sings.
Other members of the band include Shawn Thibodeaux, vocals and guitar; Lindon Goudeaux, keyboards and vocals; Chad Parker, bass; Sam LeBleu, drums and acoustic; and Charlie Ancelet, drums and vocals.
The guys in the band are no strangers to hard work, all enjoying careers in construction fields, and their work background carries over to their music, where they work tirelessly to perform at the highest levels.
Blue Collar Boys blend their varied musical backgrounds and 50 years of combined musical experience to create a country and blues sound that is, at once, engaging and entertaining.
Having played in various other projects, with musical styles ranging from blues and jazz to rock and metal, to gospel and country, Blue Collar Boys bring a complex musical background showcased in their live shows.
They are a cover band that performs classic and current country and blues hits, ranging from the ballads of George Strait to the high-energy hits of Blake Shelton to the bluesy rock tones of Stevie Ray Vaughn. They also play popular fund, classic rock and pop hits, making for a truly diverse live experience.
The Cramer Equipment Sound Stage is situated at the corner of Fourth Street and North Parkerson Avenue.
Blue Collar Boys will take the stage immediately following Saturday’s Grand Parade.
