Business resources offered by Chamber
The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce is taking steps to help area businesses find resources available during the current coronavirus pandemic.
“We are undoubtedly in unprecedented times as a community,” said Amy Thibodeaux, president and CEO of the chamber. “We are here to help with resources as they become available.”
On its website — acadiaparishchamber.org — are three areas for businesses to use as a resource.
First, businesses are asked to complete a brief survey that will assist the chamber team in aligning available resources with the immediate need of the business community as well as inform federal, state and local government partners.
Next, a comprehensive “Resource Page” is available listing all of the available guides, articles and updates pertinent to businesses remaining operational. The page will be updated frequently as new information becomes available.
Finally, a “Shop Smart, Support Local” guide has been established.
“We encourage the public to shop smart to support local while maintaining proper social distancing protocol,” Thibodeaux said. “If you would like your business added to the list, please let us know.
“Please know our full-time staff is virtually accessible to you during this time of economic uncertainty. We know Acadia parish is a community of grit and resilience and that we will emerge on the other side stronger, smarter and more agile.”
