Kaplan man accused in Morse drive-by

A Kaplan man faces attempted murder charges in connection with an apparent drive-by shooting Friday in Morse.
According to Police Chief Jason Coats, Morse police were dispatched to the 400 block of Kruttshnitt Avenue at about 5 a.m. Friday is response to reports of shots fired into a home.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the shots had been fired from a vehicle, according to Coats.
Alex George, 21, of Kaplan was arrested and has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, Coats said.
George has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
