Committees discuss food program bids, superintendent’s contract

CROWLEY – There is a long list of items the Acadia Parish School Board’s Child Nutrition Program is in need of according to Supervisor Adrianne Vidrine. “I would like to ask for permission to advertise for some large equipment,” she said. “In total, we’re looking at in the neighborhood of $185,000.” While most of the items were budgeted for this year, a serving line – the apparatus that features cold and warm areas for the food to be served to students complete with germ guards and tray holders – was a surprise, according to Vidrine.
