Josh Spell, left, manager of Fezzo’s Seafood, Steakhouse and Oyster Bar in Crowley, and Harold Fonte, right, curator of Le Presbytere in Church Point, were guests of the Crowley Lions Club recently. Spell spoke of progress on the new Fezzo’s restaurant planned to open in early November along Rice Capital Parkway. Fonte told Lions about plans for Church Point’s celebration of The Grand Réveil Acadien, or Great Acadian Awakening. Welcoming the two to the meeting was Patty Lawrence, past president.

IBERIA PARISH - Skeletal remains discovered in Iberia Parish have been positively identified as those of a Rayne man who has been missing since Jan. 2, 2021.
