Crowley Veterinary Hospital staged an unusual Christmas celebration this year, inviting the public to bring their pets to their North Parkerson office for a picture with The Grinch. A number of patrons, including Murphy the Cat, took advantage of the pre-Christmas event.

City workers and a crew from E.B. Feutch & Sons, Inc., General Contractors, of Eunice, work to repair the Magnolia Street pump station Thursday morning. A force main at the station began leaking Christmas Eve afternoon and Mayor Chad Monceaux, Wastewater Superintendent Tim Cradeur and city crews worked on temporarily repairing it through the night and into Christmas morning. Due to the holidays, proper parts for a “permanent fix” could not be obtained until Thursday, according to the mayor.
ACADIA PARISH - Four new members will be seated on the eight-member Acadia Parish Police Jury when that body convenes in January.
