The Main Street program hosted the annual Christmas in Crowley Friday night with hundreds crowding North Parkerson Avenue for the celebration. Delayed a week because of inclement weather, the event nevertheless included a number of area vendors along with shopping opportunities in the local businesses along the historic avenue. Council eyes date, time changes for meetings

During historic ceremonies held the morning of Monday, Dec. 4, at the Maison Daboval Bed & Breakfast (the Emile L. Daboval House, circa 1892), located at 305 E. Louisiana Ave., a plaque declaring the property having been named to the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior was unveiled by owners/operators Denise and Jerry Underwood. Here, the couple welcomes a large attendance, including special guests historians, past mayors, family members and friends.
