Daryl Schouest, center, CFO of Louisiana Hemp Extractors in Arnaudville, was guest speaker for a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Crowley, explaining the benefits of the many products manufactured in the 10,000-square-foot facility. With licenses from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture, Alcohol and Tobacco Control and the Louisiana Department of Health, LHE has positioned itself as the Industrial Hemp Hub in the state and has processed over 2,000 pounds of industrial hemp since its opening. Welcoming Schouest to the meeting are Kathryn Loewer, Rotarian of the Week, and Tracy Young, club president.
