Anthony J. “Tony” Roy

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Iota for Anthony J. “Tony” Roy, 56, who died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at 12:08 a.m. at Basile Care Center.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
Following Tony’s wishes he will be cremated and buried in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
“Tony” is survived by two sons, Tristan and Travis Roy; his mother, Anita Miller Roy of Iota; one sister, Angie R. Ewing husband Kirk of Iota; two brothers, Thomas J. Roy and partner Brandy Dunnehoo of Iota; Scott Roy and wife Stephanie of Iota.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney James Roy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, 509 Duson Ave., Iota, 337-779-2669.

Jerry Thompson

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Jerry Thompson, 78, who passed away surrounded by his family on Nov. 18, 2019.
Rev Austin Spell, pastor of Victory Gospel Lighthouse Church in Jennings, will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service at 1 p.m.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lilly F. Thompson of Crowley; three sons, Anthony Thompson and wife Sabrena of Crowley, Jeffery Thomas Thompson of Crowley, and Shane Travis Thompson and wife Heather of Lafayette; one sister, Perry Ann Coggin of Clinton, Tennessee; two brothers, Charles Thompson of Hammond, Indiana, and Dennis Thompson of Nashville, Indiana; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Thompson; his mother, Ketura Little Thompson, two sisters, Delores and Carolyn Thompson; and three brothers, Doug, Thomas, and his twin, Joel Thompson.
