The Acadia Parish Library in Crowley has announced its February events.
• Tuesday, Feb. 5, 3:30 p.m.: Chinese New Year Story Time. Children will make Chinese lantern crafts while learning about the Chinese New Year. No sign-up is required and all supplies will be provided.
• Thursday, Feb. 14, 3:30 p.m.: Valentine’s Day Card Lab. Attendees at this family event will make Valentine’s Day cards for family and friends. No sign-up is required and all supplies will be provided.
• Saturday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m.: Children’s Movie Matinee. The library will show Incredibles 2. Attendees are invited to bring pillows and blankets.

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Belvin John Savoy, wanted for the Dec. 18, homicide of James Francis.
Savoy is accused of shooting Francis, 66, following an altercation at the the Kathy Apartment Complex.
According to reports, Francis suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office.
Savoy is described as a black male, 19 years of age, 6 feet, 1 inch in height, weighing 175 pounds. He has black hair with dreadlocks and brown eyes.
His last known address is 200 Westwood Drive in Crowley.
Detectives have secured an arrest warrant for Savoy for second-degree murder.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Savoy is urged to call the tips line at 789-TIPS (789-8477) or download the P3 app on a mobile device to report tips anonymously.
All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Savoy.
