Cajuns game promotions, concert series announced for 2019 season

Exciting game themes and promotions have been set for the 2019 season of Louisiana Football, with each contest at Cajun Field featuring multiple ways to show support for the Ragin' Cajuns and second-year head coach Billy Napier's program.
Louisiana Athletics is proud to unveil exclusive giveaways for University students and general fans for each home game, while supplies last. Additionally, the Under The Oak Tree Concert Series will return to Cajun Field's pregame festivities. Prior to every home game, fans are encouraged to enjoy local and regional musical acts at the southwest corner of the stadium.
The first game of the season at Cajun Field, the Saturday, Sept. 7, game vs. Liberty, is presented by Our Lady of Lourdes. The Liberty game is designated as RCAF Appreciation Day and Former Football Player/Alumni Weekend. The game will additionally be the "Red Out", with fans encouraged to wear their best red-colored Ragin' Cajuns gear for the day.
The Saturday, Sept. 14, game vs. Texas Southern is Family Weekend at the University, and the presenting sponsor of the contest is Super 1 Foods. Students will enjoy a series of events all weekend that culminate with the Ragin' Cajuns facing TSU. Discounted tickets will be available for families of University students. Additionally for the Texas Southern Game, the Ragin' Cajuns Spirit Programs will put on Junior Spirit Day, a day for all summer clinic participants to enjoy discounted tickets. For more information, email
Louisiana's highly anticipated rematch of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship game will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 9, when Appalachian State visits Cajun Field. Kickoff Festivals Acadiens et Creoles from Cajun Field, as the annual festival in Lafayette runs from Thursday, Oct. 10, to Sunday, Oct. 13. There will be a special halftime event, featuring Cajun dancing at midfield, with music provided by the Pride of Acadiana. Coinciding with all of the festivities, the midweek game has also been designated as Ladies Night at Cajun Field.
The big weekday matchup against Appalachian State will also serve as University Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. Additionally, the Ragin' Cajuns game against the Mountaineers will be Resident Hall/Greek Life Night, where University students are invited out to Cajun Field with the opportunities to win prizes for their floors and organizations.
Louisiana's Homecoming Game comes on Saturday, Nov. 2, vs. Texas State, with Cox serving as the presenting game sponsor. All the pageantry and excitement of the annual homecoming game will bring many different activities and events to the week. The Saturday, Nov. 23, game vs. Troy will be the Louisiana Salutes Day/Military Appreciation Game at Cajun Field, and additionally serve as the "Black Out" game. Louisiana supporters are encouraged to join the football squad in black attire for the game. Also, fans are encouraged to "Take a Kid to the Game". Local elementary school children (ages 12-and-under) have the opportunity to receive a voucher for a free ticket to the game.
Louisiana's final home contest, the Saturday, Nov. 30, game vs. ULM, will be Senior Day at Cajun Field. Additionally, it will serve as the Cajuns Care Game, in which local charitable groups are invited to Cajun Field. Fans who purchased five or more Cajuns Care tickets during the 2019 season will be invited onto the field for a special presentation.
Louisiana kicks off the 2019 season on Saturday, August 31, at 11 a.m. when it faces Southeastern Conference foe Mississippi State in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

Football season ticket packages are on sale now for the 2019 season of Louisiana Football. Ragin' Cajuns fans can purchase season tickets for as low as $110 (general admission seating), as well as in sections P and Q for $165.
