Crowley Ladies sweep Opelousas in volleyball action

The Crowley Ladies improved to 7-2 on the season Monday with a 25-10, 25-19, 25-20 sweep of Opelousas at the CHS gym.
The Ladies, who currently sit at No. 10 in the most recent LHSAA Division III power ratings, were led by Jaysa Marceaux with four kills and four aces. She also had an assist and a dig.
Marcy Miller followed with three kills and two blocks, Morgan Guidry logged two kills and three aces and Mallory LeBlanc had two kills.
Hannah Cormier added one kill, four aces and 10 assists while Gabrielle Spaetgens and Macey Brown had one kill each.
Also contributing were Jocelyn Marceaux with three aces and Sckylier Baronet with one ace and three digs.
Crowley took on Beau Chene last night, but results of that contest were not available as of press time.
The Ladies return to action on Thursday when they travel to Iota to take on the 5-8 Lady Dogs in the District 3 opener for both teams.
