Lady Warriors sweep St. Edmund

The Northside Christian Warriors dominated at the net Monday as they logged 34 kills and two blocks in a 3-0 District 1-V sweep of St. Edmund.
The Lady Warriors (14-2, 2-0) won the first and third set by a score of 25-14. The middle set was Northside’s best as they reeled off a 25-9 victory.
Senior middle hitter Brooke Guthrie led the charge with a season-high 17 kills. She also had a dig and a block.
Sophomore Kamrie Breaux followed with nine kills and a block, junior Riley Armstrong logged four kills, 14 digs, one ace and 10 assists and freshman Kate Daigle had two kills, 12 digs and three aces.
Senior Abbygail Perry, the team’s setter, posted one kill, 20 digs nine aces and 12 assists. Junior Brylynn George had one kill nine digs and one ace and sophomore libero Rory Thibodeaux had 23 digs and four aces.
The Lady Warriors, who took on Beau Chene last night, return to league action on Tuesday when they travel to Grand Coteau to take on Academy of Sacred Heart at 5 p.m.
