CROWLEY – When Opelousas Catholic traveled to Notre Dame last year, it was the first time the teams had played each other since 1988. It wasn’t a fun night for the Vikings as the Pios improved to 16-3 all-time against OC with a 40-7 win to kick off District 5-2A play. “It is very similar to last year in that they have played well thus far,” notes Pios coach Lewis Cook. “We are going there this time against one of the better teams in our district and they are playing with confidence. It will be important for us to get off to a good start and not let them have early success which would make life tougher on us.”
