City and Garden Club officials were on hand Thursday for the formal presentation of the Category G State Cleanest City Award to the City of Crowley. Making the presentation to Mayor Chad Monceaux were Roxanna Champagne, immediate past president of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation, and Jean Gilstrap, long-time State Cleanesst City Chairman. On hand for the ceremony at City Hall were, front from left, Greg Cormier, African-Americal Cultural District; Val Myers, Community Development / Marketing Director; Champagne, Mayor Monceaux, Gilstrap, Alderwoman Katie Chiasson, and long-time Crowley Garden Club member Georgie Petitjean; back from left, Aldermen Vernon “Step” Martin and Jeff Doré; Alderwoman Dr. Sandra Marx; Alderman and Contest Chairman Sammy Reggie III; and Aldermen Brad Core and Byron Wilridge.
