The International Rice Festival has announced that its 83rd queen, Jimi Madison Joubert, has agreed to continue her reign until the 84th festival is held and a new queen is crowned.
Today the International Rice Festival issued the following statement:
The 84th International Rice Festival has selected Gilles Piron as president to preside over the 2020 festivities.
This past weekend, members of the International Rice Festival Association attended the 89th Annual Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention held at the Crown Plaza in Baton Rouge.
About 65 members of the International Rice Festival Association attended the recent Annual Meeting to learn how the 2019 festival fared and to cast their vote on three vacant board seats.
