Climaxing the annual Acadia Parish Junior Livestock Show and Sale is the auction of the grand champions Saturday morning. Top - Danny Nugier with Supreme Rice, far right, and Doug LaCombe, with Mauboules Trust, center, purchased Jackson Gautreaux’s Grand Champion Steer for $4,800. Bottom left - Samuel Godeaux’s Grand Champion Broiler Pullet was purchase by Caroline Manuel for $350. Bottom center - Christian Leonard’s 210-pound Grand Champion Market Swine was purchased by LaCombe, for Mauboules Trust, for $2,500. Bottom right - Colton Zaunbrecher’s 135-pound Grand Champion Market Lamb was purchased by Sheriff K.P. Gibson for $2,200.

CROWLEY – It was a cold one for the 2024 Acadia Parish Junior Livestock Sale, so much so that spectators were hauling around personal heaters attached to propane bottles.
