Chance Henry, who served as a member of the Acadia Parish Police Jury for four years — all of those years as jury president — was sworn in as State Representative, District 42, during ceremonies Monday at the State Capitol. Henry was elected in October to fill the seat vacated when seven-year office holder, John Stefanski, left to run for attorney general.
Henry, a Republican, is the owner and operator of Keith Henry Insurance Agency headquartered in Crowley, is a lifelong resident of Acadia Parish and the rural, unincorporated community of Mermentau Cove. Henry, with daughter Edith Kate at his side, takes the oath of office.

Contractors told Monceaux they would have the building leveled and gone by week’s end.
