Interstate three-vehicle wreck results in fatality
The Rayne Police Department, along with State Police and the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, were called to the scene of a three-vehicle crash with one fatality along Interstate 10 east bound between mile makers 88 and 89 just east of Rayne. RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, for Jeanette Bourque Broussard, 79, who died Sunday, March 15, at her residence in Rayne.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Christopher Cambre will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her daughter, Charmin Broussard of Rayne; two sons, William Racca and spouse Lynette of Quitman, AR, and Curtis Racca and spouse Connie of Rayne; four grandsons, Brandon Racca and spouse Jessica, Lance Racca and spouse Maggie, Spencer Racca, Jake Racca, all of Rayne; three great-grandchildren, Maddie Racca, Athen Racca, Zoe-Margaret Racca, all of Rayne; and a sister, Mary Bourque Trahan of Scott.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph "Blackie" Broussard; parents, Widest Bourque and Gladys Leger Bourque; and eight siblings, Levi May Bourque, Deanne Bourque Brignac, Willie Pete Bourque, Rayward Bourque, Mona Bourque Daigle, Harry Bourque, Bradley Bourque and Donald Bourque.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Racca, Lance Racca, Spencer Racca, Jake Racca, Shalon Bourque and Ray Campbell.
A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at noon in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Tuesday, March 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
