Ruby Clement Monceaux
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Ruby Clement Monceaux, 94, who died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at 5:17 a.m. at Acadia General Hospital.
Fr. Byron Miller, C.Ss.R. officiated for the services.
The family requested visiting hours Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A rosary was recited Friday at 6 p.m.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Monceaux is survived by her husband of 70 years, Noah Monceaux of Crowley; one daughter, Denise M. Normand and husband Mark of Baton Rouge; one son, Gary Monceaux of Crowley; one sister, Genevieve Trahan of Egan; two grandchildren, Dustin Abraham Monceaux and Amanda Louise M. Miller; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Dale Miller, Jolie Angelle Miller and Noah Michael Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Elia Myer Clement; three brothers, Milton, Andy and Henry “Fuzzy” Clement.

Brenda C. Monceaux
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at The Pentecostals of Crowley Church in Crowley for Brenda C. Monceaux, 62, who passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at 12:52 p.m. at Lafayette General Orthopedic Hospital in Lafayette.
Pastor Len Whitaker, pastor of The Pentecostals of Crowley Church, officiated for the services.
Burial was held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family requested the visitation to be held on Friday, Dec. 27, at 9:00 a.m. until time of services all at The Pentecostals of Crowley Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Ledia and husband Victor Abshire of Egan; one son, Brannon and wife Tavia Monceaux of Crowley; three sisters, Dolores and husband James Trahan of Jennings, Virginia and husband Jr. Richard of Crowley, Alina and husband Alfredo Garcia of Crowley; two grandchildren, Katie and husband Michael Kibodeaux of Crowley, Ava Grai Abshire of Egan; one great-grandson on the way, Zion Michael Kibodeaux.
Ms. Monceaux was preceded in death by parents, Rufford and Hazel T. Cormier; two sisters, Sarah and Thelma Richard; and two brothers, Jr. and Jerry Cormier.
