Gunplay reported at West Crowley intersection Dec. 20

Two buildings and a number of vehicles were apparently sprayed by gunfire during the early morning hours of Dec. 20.
Police Chief Jimmy Broussard has reported that his department received a call of shots being fired at or around the intersection of Ross Avenue and West Second Street during the early morning hours, but officers were unable to locate a crime scene.
Later that morning, the Department received several other calls indicating that multiple businesses and vehicles had been hit by what appeared to be stray bullets.
During the ensuing investigation, it was discovered that the businesses were struck by gunfire which caused significant damage to buildings occupied by Acadiana Crawfish and Buddy and Billy’s.
Investigators collected video evidence and multiple spent cartridges.
With that evidence, multiple suspects were identified and charges are pending, according to Broussard, who added that additional suspects are to be named pending the investigation.
