Beatrice Crandle Perry

CALIFORNIA - Services were held for Beatrice Crandle Perry, 79, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Banning, California.
Internment was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, California.
Mrs. Perry passed with peace and grace on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, in Beaumont, California.
She is survived by four sisters, Thelma Warren Brown of Los Angeles, California, Brenda Bessard of Rayne, Irma Crandle of San Francisco, California, and Lucille Broussard of Beaumont, California, along with her nieces, nephews, and a host of many beloved relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Perry, and her parents, Arthur Crandle Sr. and Lucille LeBleu Crandle.
The Rayne native is a graduate of the Acadia Parish Training School of Rayne. She also enjoyed attending the school reunions through the years.

Ollie Marie Harmon

CHURCH POINT - Mrs. Ollie Fontenot Harmon, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at her residence of Southwind Assisted Living in Crowley.
She was born March 17, 1929, in Church Point, a daughter to the late Clarence and Lillie (Leger) Fontenot.
Ollie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Ray Harmon; a step-brother, Ted Menard; and her parents.
She was a parishioner of St. Edmunds Catholic Church where she served on the Ladies Altar Society. She was a homemaker and a supportive wife to her husband Ray, who was a lifelong farmer in the Branch area. She enjoyed Cajun music, baking, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Ollie is survived by one son and two daughters, Ray Anthony Harmon (Pamela) of Branch, Lillie Harmon Leonards of Branch and Rachel Harmon Burleson (Randy) of Hackberry; two sisters, Sylvia Fontenot Daigle (Freddie) and Louise Fontenot Richard; a sister-in law, Mabel Harmon Pontoliano; a step-brother, Carol Menard (Helen); five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She also leaves many other family members and friends and her earthly angel, Fran Bates, who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at St. Edmunds Catholic Church in Branch, with Father Broussard officiating. Burial followed in the St. Edmunds Cemetery.
Visitation was observed at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Visitation continued from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, until the time of services.
Serving as pallbearers were Nick Richard, John Daigle, Lucas Leonards, Jeremy Harmon, Nick LeBlanc and Ernest Harmon.
Honorary pallbearers were Cody Carriere and Brayton Leger.
Arrangements were handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
