Robert Allen Guidry

The family and friends of Robert Allen Guidry are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on July 23, 2019, at the age of 72.
Robert was born in Gueydan to Aclan J. Guidry Sr. and Lillian Michon Guidry on Feb. 13, 1947. He worked as a shop foreman for Lewis Flying Services. Robert loved motorcycles, hot rods, hunting, fishing, and boxing. His favorite time of year was the Christmas Season.
Robert especially loved the time he spent with his family and his beautiful grandchildren. He was a kind and giving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his son, Gregory Guidry (Stacy) of Morse; his daughter, Roxanne Humble (Alvin) of Morse; his two brothers, Ronnie Guidry of Church Point and August Lee Guidry of Texas; his two sisters, Lovenia Dequeant of Elton and Loraine Roche of Gueydan; his eight grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Chloe, Connor, Lillian, Vivian, Julian and Haydian.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Aclan and Lillian Guidry Sr.; his beloved wife, Mary Ann Guidry; his brother, Aclan Guidry Jr.; his two sisters, Nora Graves and Betty Kibodeaux.
Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Saturday, July 27, at 2 p.m.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. until the time of his service, with a Rosary recited at 11 a.m.
The family of Robert would like to send a very special Thank You to all the staff of Ellington Nursing Home for all of the love and support that they showed their loved one in his time of need.

Kenneth Guidry

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley for Mr. Kenneth Guidry, 59, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.
Father Godwin Imoru will be officiating the Funeral Mass.
Mr. Guidry leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Levesta Guidry of Crowley; one son, Kendra Guidry of Crowley; one brother, Gregory Guidry of Lake Charles; three sisters, Brenda Simpson of Lafayette, Lisa Morgan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Paula Cutrer (Aaron) of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also devoted in-laws.
Mr. Guidry was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory Guidry Sr. and Bertha Guidry; two brothers, Ivory Guidry Jr. and Bryan Guidry; and maternal grandparents, Hilda Guillory and Sidney Guillory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

Lester Paul Foreman

The family and friends of Lester Paul Foreman are mourning the loss of their loved one, who was called from his earthly life on July 23, 2019, at the age of 64.
Lester was born in Abbeville to Minice “T-Man” Foreman and Hilda Trahan Foreman on Nov. 13, 1954.
Lester was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing. He also loved to cook and visit with friends. Most of all, he loved the time he was able to spend with his family.
Lester was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lester is survived by his son, Jeremy Foreman of Gueydan; his daughter Jodie F. Robbins (Roy) of Crowley; his two sisters, Judy Guidry of Gueydan and Arline Bellard (Daniel) of Lake Arthur; his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Rachelle, Emma, Madilyn, Krystian and Katie.
Lester is now reunited with his family that preceded him in death, his parents, Minice and Hilda Foreman.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lester Paul Foreman, 64 of Gueydan, will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church in Gueydan on Friday, July 26, at 2 p.m. with Father Corey Campeaux officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gueydan Cemetery.
Carrying Lester to his final resting place will be Jeremy Foreman, Joseph Robbins, Scott Sonnier, Andy Guidry, Isaac DePerrodil and Joseph Breaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Robbins, Roy Robbins, and Bennett Herbert.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 25, beginning at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 26, at 8 a.m. and continue until the time of his funeral service at 2 p.m.
