James L. Bearde

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 2 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, for James L. Bearde, 47, who died Monday, April 29, at Eastridge Nursing & Rehabilitation in Abbeville, following a courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne.
Deacon Joseph Ulysse Joubert with Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, will conduct the funeral services.
James was born to Gary J. Bearde and Betty L. Tanner, July 20, 1971 in Clinton, MO.
Survivors include father, Gary J. and wife Emelie Bearde of New Iberia; two sisters, Mary Romero and spouse John of New Iberia and Heidi Romero and spouse Trent of New Iberia; three nieces, Riley Romero, Chloe Romero and Roxey Romero; aunt, Barbara Stelly and spouse Edmond; and two cousins, Stacy Crim and spouse Ron and Michael Bearde and spouse Jenna.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tracy J. Bearde; paternal grandmother, Mary Polser Bearde; paternal grandmother, Melva Buie Bearde; uncle, Richard Bearde; and maternal grandparents, Blanc and Joyce Lanclos.
Pallbearers will be Mary Romero, John Romero, Heidi Romero, Trent Romero, Logan Boudreaux and James David Revels.
A Rosary will be prayed Saturday, May 4, at 11:30 a.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The family wishes to thank his LARC family of Lafayette, Eastridge Nursing Home of Abbeville and Amedisys Hospice Care of Lafayette for all of their care.

Lonis Domingue

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Church in Rayne for Lonis Domingue, 67, who died Saturday, April 27, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Services will be conducted by Minister Randy Cobb.
Internment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Russell and Meritha Domingue of Rayne; his children, Roderick Freeman (Andrea), Lonis D. Domingue (Tiffany), Daniel Domingue (Shaunee) and Danielle Domingue, all of Rayne, Quinterria S. Kelly (Timothy) of Duson and Reckela Freeman of Jennings; 16 grandchildren and their spouses; six uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 35 years, Verlena Freeman; a brother, Daniel Domingue; a sister, Sheila D. Roberts; maternal grandparents, Anna and Richard Comeaux; paternal grandparents, Riley and Stella Domingue; and a grandson, Brandon Senegal Adams.
Visitation will be observed Saturday, May 4, at Abundant Life Church, 400 Gossen Memorial Drive, Rayne, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Syrie Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Annie Lee Simar “Sweetie” LeJeune

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evangeline for Annie Lee “Sweetie” Simar LeJeune, 91, who died Saturday, April 27, 2019, at her home in Evangeline.
Fr. Paul Lafleur will officiate for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours be held Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. A rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Iota.
Mrs. LeJeune is survived by one daughter, Sherril Clifton and husband Shelby of Eunice; two sisters, Rosa Hebert and husband Clifton and Delores Gary and husband Merlin, both of Evangeline; one brother, Shelton Latiolais of Evangeline; two granddaughters, Cherrae Smith of Livingston and Shantel Green and husband David of Walker; six great-grandchildren, Paige Smith, Brandi Smith, Don Paul Smith, Garrett Phipps, Cameron Phipps and Brooke Phipps; and one great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Smith.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Carlton Joseph Simar and Murry LeJeune; her parents, Joseph and Emetille LaCombe Latiolais; three sisters, Lillian Latiolais Wright, Livian Latiolais Gotte and Juanita Latiolais Hebert; and one brother, John Henry Latiolais.
Active pallbearers will be Don Paul Smith, David Wright, Ricky Gary, Wayne Simar, Colby Latiolais, and Bray Latiolais.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Youngblood, Troy Hebert, Chad Latiolais, and Robby Latiolais.
