Lillia B. Hoffpauir

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Lillia B. Hoffpauir, 87, who passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 12:56 p.m. in the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Br. Randy Trahan from Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley will be officiating for the services.
Burial will be held in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Ebenezer.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7 o’clock in the evening by her godchild, Jason Seaux, in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until the time of services.
Survivors include her husband, Rufus F. Hoffpauir of Crowley; two sons, John C. and wife Barbara Hoffpauir of Lafayette and Russell James and wife Debbie Patin Hoffpauir of Crowley; two daughters, Gloria and husband David Taylor of Summerdale, Alabama, and Sarah and husband Phil Martin of Crowley; one sister, Margie Seaux of Crowley; one brother, Lawrence “Pee Wee” Bertrand of Crowley; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Yvonne Hoffpauir; her parents, John and Elute C. Bertrand; three sisters, one infant sibling, Lillian Myers (her twin), and Iola Cart; and two brothers, Antoine, and Laurice Bertrand.

Lou Alice Hebert LaCombe

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. for Lou Alice Hebert LaCombe, 90, who died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 11:13 a.m. surrounded by her loving family.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
The family requests visiting hours from 10 a.m. Tuesday (all night visitation) to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday with a rosary to be recited Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. LaCombe is survived by three daughters, Patricia L. Reed and husband Ronald of Iota, Barbara LaCombe of Winnfield and Darlene LaCombe of Iota; two sons, Shelton LaCombe and wife Debra of Iota, Dalton LaCombe of Egan; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orelian LaCombe; her parents, Azenore and Lydia Miller Hebert; five sisters, Hazel Roy, Mae Bergeron, Lena Leger, Cama Lee Leger and Euna Rabalais; seven brothers, Milton, George, Johnny, Hillary, Lee C., Alvin “Poncho” and James Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Shelton LaCombe, Dalton LaCombe, Shelton LaCombe Jr., Justin LaCombe, Billy Miller and Travis LaCombe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert LaCombe and Ronald Reed.

Jeanette Lavergne Dupont

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Jeannette Lavergne Dupont, 80, who died Sunday, April 28, at her residence in Rayne.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #1 in Rayne.

Rev. Kevin Bordelon, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include three daughters, Bernadette D. Jennings and spouse Gary J. Jennings, Michelle D. Vernoy and spouse Louis C. Vernoy, Antoinette D. Hoffpauir and spouse Lloyd L. Hoffpauir; four sons, Mark A. Dupont and spouse Christine H. Dupont, Christopher Dupont and spouse Michelle B. Dupont, Stephen C. Dupont and spouse Jeanne H. Dupont, Paul J. Dupont and spouse Paige C. Dupont, all of Rayne; 18 grandchildren, Clare D. Faul, Katie E. Dupont, Joshua B. Jennings, Lauren M. Theunissen, Tyler Jennings, Eric L. Vernoy, Zachary J. Vernoy, Timothy M. Hoffpauir, Natalie H. Gautreaux, Sarah D. Meche, Emily Dupont, Reid Dupont, Madalyn Dupont, John-David Dupont, Jude-Mikal Dupont, Julianna Dupont, Jakob-Paul Dupont; 10 great-grandchildren, Mallorie Richard, Analei Jennings, Aylei Theunissen, Lukas Theunissen, David S. Jennings, Asher Jennings, Bailey Hoffpauir, Lane Gautreaux, Drew Gautreaux, Owen Meche, and soon to be baby Jennings

She was preceded in death by husband, Charles John Dupont; grandson, David S. Jennings; father, Elza Lavergne; mother, Rose Thibodeaux Lavergne Ancelet; brother, James F. Lavergne; and in laws, Elton and Hermie L. Dupont.

Pallbearers will be her four sons and three sons-in-law, Mark Dupont, Christopher Dupont, Stephen Dupont, Paul Dupont, Gary Jennings, Louis Vernoy and Lloyd Hoffpauir. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Tuesday, April 30, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Wednesday May 1, from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
