Ada “Johnnie” Jagneaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ada “Johnnie” Jagneaux Hebert, 91, who passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at 5:25 p.m. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Acadia Resthaven Mausoleum Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Hebert of Crowley, and Randall “Randy” Hebert of Crowley; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Hebert of Crowley; two brothers, John and wife, Delsie Jagneaux of Carencro, and Kenneth and wife, Bernita Jagneaux of Church Point; two sisters, Theresa and husband, Hershel Benoit of Sunset, Ella Mae Daigle of Church Point; three granddaughters, Jeanne Albarez, Antoinette Jones Hebert and Danielle Romero; seven great-grandchildren, Devin Hebert, Brooklyn Hebert, Brittany Hebert, Meghan Albarez, Alexis Romero, Brayden Romero and Slade Romero; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Charles Hebert; one son, Charles Daniel “Danny” Hebert; one grandson, Wayne “Tony” Hebert, II; her parents, Pierre and Julie C. Jagneaux; two brothers, Joe and Eli Jagneaux; three sisters, Mary Boudreaux, Beverly Guidry and Jermaine Richard.
Ms. Hebert worked as a nurse for some forty years to help support the family as well as taking care of patients. She was a devout catholic and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. It was her joy to prepare large meals for her family and friends. She also liked going to the casino with friends. Many thanks to the Acadia General Hospital and Dr. Saini for the care they provided.
