Charles Howard Hamilton
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA for Charles Howard Hamilton, 88, who died Thursday Aug. 23, 2018 at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne LA.
Interment will be in the Rayne Cemetery Inc. in Rayne, LA.
Rev. Maxwell, Pastor of Indian Bayou United Methodist Church will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his wife 64 years, Dorothy “Dot” Bahm Hamilton of Rayne, son, David Hamilton and spouse Charlene Trahan Hamilton of Lafayette, daughter, Jane Hamilton of Rayne, daughter in law, Diane Kogel Hamilton of Central, granddaughter, Taylor Hamilton and fiance’ Adam Chauvin of Lafayette, grandson, Carter Hamilton of Lafayette, two sisters, Francis Hamilton Jordan of Mobile, AL, Elizabeth Hamilton Denny of Mena, AR. sisters-in-law, Blanch Hamilton of Baton Rouge and Honey Hamilton of Pensacola, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his son, William “Bill” E. Hamilton, parents, James Hamilton and Cleo Thompson Hamilton, two brothers, Fred Hamilton, Ray Hamilton.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Sunday 26 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lula Mae Guidry Cormier
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Lula Mae Guidry Cormier, 84, who died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley.
Mrs. Cormier was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was involved in many activities in Crowley but her greatest gift was her unconditional love for her family.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder will officiate the services.
The family requested visiting hours Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. A rosary was recited Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cormier is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Oledia J. Cormier Jr. of Crowley; four daughters, Janice C. Toups and husband Buddy of Crowley, Karen C. Schexnayder of Lafayette, Alice C. Flint of Lafayette and Arlene C. Parsley and husband Drew of Crowley; one son, Gerry Cormier and wife Gwyn of Crowley; two brothers, Hayward Guidry of Maurepas and Kenny Guidry of Crowley; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Genius and Leah Guidry; one son, Craig Stephen Cormier; and one sister, Lerline G. Sonnier.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Chris Cormier, Craig Cormier, Andy Toups, Jonathon Walker, Jacob Parsley and Watts Goodson.
