Charles Howard Hamilton

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, for Charles Howard Hamilton, 88, who died Thursday, Aug. 23, at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne.

Interment will be in the Rayne Cemetery Inc. in Rayne.

Rev. Maxwell, pastor of Indian Bayou United Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dorothy "Dot" Bahm Hamilton of Rayne; a son, David Hamilton and spouse Charlene Trahan Hamilton of Lafayette; a daughter, Jane Hamilton of Rayne; daughter-in-law, Diane Kogel Hamilton of Central; granddaughter, Taylor Hamilton and fiance' Adam Chauvin of Lafayette; grandson, Carter Hamilton of Lafayette; two sisters, Francis Hamilton Jordan of Mobile, AL, and Elizabeth Hamilton Denny of Mena, AR; and two sisters-in-law, Blanch Hamilton of Baton Rouge and Honey Hamilton of Pensacola, FL.

He was preceded in death by his son, William "Bill" E. Hamilton; parents, James Hamilton and Cleo Thompson Hamilton; and two brothers, Fred Hamilton and Ray Hamilton.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Sunday, August 26, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday, August 27, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Doris Monceaux Hoffpauir

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Doris Monceaux Hoffpauir, 87, who passed away surrounded by her family Aug. 22, 2018, at Acadia General Hospital.
Rev. Jason Corder, pastor of Forest Park Church of Christ, will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to the time of services.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Carole Hoffpauir Martin of Crowley; two sons, Kenneth Hoffpauir and wife Barbara of Crowley, and Kirk Hoffpauir and wife Lacey of Crowley; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Martin Landry, Chad Martin, Gretchen Martin Cormier, Donielle Hoffpauir Baudoin, Karla Hoffpauir Wulf, Sean Vincent and Dawson Hoffpauir; 12 great-grandchildren, Jordan Landry, Alexandra Martin, Jillian Martin, Joshua Cormier, Kate Martin, Jesilyn Cormier, Ashley Baudoin, Abigail Wulf, Gabrielle Wulf, Allen Wulf and Rebecca Wulf; and two great-great-grandchildren, Annabella Landry and Eliza Grant.
Mrs. Hoffpauir is preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Hoffpauir; her parents, Demar and Lelia Foreman Monceaux; three siblings, Noris Penn, Audrey Hoffpauir and Leroy Sarver; one daughter-in-law, Aline Hoffpauir; and one son-in-law, Johnny Martin.

Lou Ella Whittington Guillot

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Lou Ella Whittington Guillot, who went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at the age of 85 years young.
Fr. Jason Vidrine, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, will be officiating for the service.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday from 10:30 a/m. to 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She was born on May 14, 1933, in Crowley. Lou was married to the late Lawrence Guillot in 1953 and they were married for 63 years.
Lou was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church all of her life. She was part of the Altar Society and Rosary Group.
Lou loved her family and enjoyed preparing meals for all to gather. Lou was known for her contagious smile and she always made you feel special and important.
Lou had six children, Lawrence Wayne Guillot, married to Suzy Huber, of Biloxi, Mississippi; Carlton Guillot, married to Judy Judice, of Long Beach, Mississippi; Glenn Guillot, married to Cindy Tiller, of Lafayette; Shevon Guillot Gee, married to Kyle Gee, of San Rafael, California; 11 grandchildren, Natalie Hebert, Courtney Scarborough, Garrett Guillot, Keith Guillot, Ryan Guillot, Nicole Turner, Joseph Guillot, Adam Guillot, Ashley Guillot, Madeline Comneck, Matthew McBride; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two of her children: Randal Guillot and Michael Guillot; her parents, Roual and Nella Melancon Whittington; and two brothers, Wilven and Dallas Whittington
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 901 E. Elm St., Crowley, LA 70526; and/or a charity of your choice.
