Lucille L. Pormier
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Roberts Cove Church of Christ in Roberts Cove for Lucille L. Pormier, 91, who passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 7:30 A.M. at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Crowley.
Brother Derek Richard and Brother Jack Harris officiated for the services.
Burial was held in the Kie Hebert Cemetery in Roberts Cove.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation resumed on Monday at 9 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Eileen Hall-Stark and husband Shiel Louis Stark of Baytown, Texas, Sylvia and her husband Edward Scherr of Roberts Cove; one son, Michael Pormier of Roberts Cove; six grandchildren, Angel LeJeune, Craig Lee Hall, Denice Stillman, Eric Wayne Hall, Hollie Wyatt and Mistie Pormier; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Pormier was preceded in death by her husband, Clotis Pormier; one son, Rogers Pormier; her parents, Stanley and Elva A. Laughlin; and two sisters, Pearl Ratliff-Davis and Lori Goins-Adcocks.

Arthur James Monceaux
Arthur was born on Dec. 4, 1969, in Lafayette to Ronald Monceaux and Mary Lege Monceaux and was called to his Heavenly father on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
Arthur loved to be outdoors, hunting, fishing, and cooking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Arthur was a very hard working, kind, and friendly person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Arthur is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Monceaux of Morse; his fiancée, Donna Trahan of Morse; his step-son, Curry Trahan Jr of New Iberia; his step-daughter, Ashley Trahan of Lafayette; his two brothers, Tony Monceaux (Dosena) of Morse, and Aaron Monceaux of Morse; his granddaughter, Adilynn Guillory of Lafayette; as well as numerous step-brothers and step-sisters.
Arthur is preceded in death by Joseph Ray Miller; his uncle Rodney Lee Lege; his grandparents, August and Helen Lege, Bee Monceaux and Edia Richard Monceaux.
Funeral services for Arthur James Monceaux, 48, of Morse, will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, on Tuesday, April 10, at 3 p.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Tuesday, April 9, at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Burial will follow in the Lege Cemetery.
Carrying Arthur to his final resting place in Lege Cemetery will be Tony Monceaux, Aaron Monceaux, Brandon Lege, Mac Lege, Dustin Prejean, and Ronnie Maynard.
Honorary pallbearer will be Curry Trahan Jr.

Ward, Dischler set to wed April 14
Ms. Judy Knapp and Mr. James “Jay” Ward II, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Anne Ward to Carl “Dusty” Dischler II, son of Carl and Sandra Dischler of Iota.
The couple will be united in holy matrimony on April 14, at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. James Ward and the late Mrs. Kathleen Ward of Springfield, Vermont, and Mr. and Mrs. William Knapp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the late Ms. Judith Knapp of Wausau, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of West Creek High School in Clarksville. Presently, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in healthcare communications at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga while working as lead patient support staff at Results Physiotherapy in Cleveland, Tennessee.
The prospective groom is grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dischler and Ms. Marie S. Walker, all of Crowley. He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Northwestern State University of Louisiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dischler graduated magna cum laude while competing for four years in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field for the Demons. He obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Currently, he is clinic director at Results Physiotherapy in Hixson, Tennessee.
After the wedding, the couple plans to reside in Chattanooga following a honeymoon trip.
