Judy Gail Smith Robinson
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Judy Gail Smith Robinson, 68, who died Thursday April 12, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment was in the North Hanks Cemetery in Crowley.
Brother Sigmund Richard conducted the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Robinson of Crowley; two sons, Kenneth Robinson Sr. and wife Shaye of Crowley, and Justin Robinson of Crowley; a daughter, Remona Thibodeaux of Egan; five grandchildren, Coty Thibodeaux of Crowley, Kendra Robinson of Iota, Ashleh Carson and husband Nevin of Lafayette, Kenneth Robinson Jr. of Crowley, and Keely Robinson of Crowley.
She was preceded in death by parents, John Robert Smith and Rosa Mae Broussard Smith; and sister, Linda Simon.
Visitation was observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Mary Ann Washington
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Mary Ann Washington, 63, who died April 4, 2018, at her residence.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Godwin Imoru.
Interment will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery in Mowata.
Mary worked for the Lafayette Public School System for nearly 34 years as a teacher and elementary math specialist.
Mary served as president of the Lafayette Parish Association of Educators and later as president and chief executive officer of the Louisiana Association of Educators (LAE), representing nearly 20,000 public school employees before the Louisiana Legislature.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sisters, Orelia Marie Washington-Wilridge, Linda Washington, Betty (Joseph) Washington-Narcisse, Debra Washington and Louella Washington-Mouton; brothers, Paul, Leonce, and Michael Washington; godchildren, Keisha D’augereaux, Tiffany Narcisse, and Reginald Washington; a special niece, Nakeisha Washington; one maternal uncle, Charles Leger, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Amy Handy Leger and Leonce Leger; paternal grandparents, Amos and Thelma Washington; parents, Orelia Leger Washington and Paul Washington Sr.; a brother, Herman Washington; two sisters, Theresa and Lillie Washington.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the Louisiana Association of Educators (LAE), 8322 One Calais Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, for the future Mary A. Washington Scholarship.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 14, at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 7:30 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited 8:30 a.m.

Charlotte Stakes Primeaux
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Charlotte Ann Stakes Primeaux, 70, who died Thursday, April 12, 2018, in Crowley.
Pastor Larry Evans of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church will officiate for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours be held Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Primeaux was employed at the Acadia Parish Library for 30 years as a Library Clerk. She was also an active member of the Woodman of the World, and enjoyed a good game of bingo and spending time with her three cats and her dog.
She was survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Harry Primeaux Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edmonia Winn Stakes; one sister, Mae Rose Curtis; and three brothers, Arthur Ray Stakes, E.J. Stakes, and Robert Stakes.

Rayford Trahan
Rayford Trahan, 47, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 2:15 p.m. at his home in Egan.
Survivors include his fiancé, Mollie Cochran of Egan; one daughter, Jaida Trahan of Rayne; one son, Corey and wife Katie Trahan of DeRidder; his mother, Geraldine L. Trahan; one brother, Robert and wife Loretta Trahan Jr. of Egan; one grandson, Ryker Richard of Rayne; two step-daughters, Alexis and Audree Walters of Goldsburg, South Carolina; Bradley Walters of Fort Richardson, Alaska; several nieces and nephews, Missy Trahan, Shae Gotte, Michael Trahan, Khrystian Trahan, Payton Trahan, Shyelah Baudoin, Melanie Lyons, Sidney Baudoin, Dylan Fruge, Lacey Fruge, Tony Baudoin and Raven Trahan; two great-nieces, Nevaeh and Avianna; and two great nephews, Elijah and Gavin.
Mr. Trahan was preceded in death by his father, Robert Trahan Sr.; one sister, Melissa; his paternal and maternal grandparents, LeRoy and Francis LeJeune and Ervin and Helen Ackers.

James Rodney Forrestier
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley for James Rodney Forrestier, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 5:45 p.m. at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Fr. Jason Vidrine, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley, will be officiating for the services.
Burial will be held at a later date.
The family requested that visitation be held on Thursday, April 12, at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary was recited on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visitation resumes on Friday, April 13, at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Josephine “Josie” S. Forrestier of Crowley; five daughters, Carla Forrestier and wife Jolayne Cormier of Ruston, Nanette and husband Rodney Cobb of Chourant, Angelic and wife Lisa Chaisson of Lafayette, Marcie Forrestier of Crowley, and Neomi Forrestier of Crowley; one step-daughter, Heidi Marceaux of Youngsville; one son, Rodney “Rod” Forrestier of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Brenda Davy of Crowley, and Elaine and husband Carroll Menard of Rayne; one brother, Gerard “Roy” and wife Linda Credeur; nine grandchildren, Tyler and wife Brittany Cobb of Choudrant, Travis and wife Katie Cobb of Downsville, Caitlyn Matthews of Crowley, Brooke Benoit of Crowley, Mya Benoit of Crowley, Caleb Aymami of Youngsville, Bryce Forrestier of Lafayette, Emma Forrestier of Breaux Bridge, Bennett Marceaux of Youngsville; and one great-grandson, Trent Cobb of Downsville.
Mr. Forrestier was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Forrestier and Mary Alice Hebert; and two sisters, Dianne Benoit and JoAnn Davy.
