A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, for Ivy Joseph Richard, 72, who died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in Crowley.
Fr. Edward Duhon, priest in residence at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours be held Monday from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at noon p.m.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mr. Richard is survived by his wife, Brenda Brassette Richard; one nephew, Mark Richard and wife Mary of Lafayette; three nieces, Emily Claire Richard of Lafayette, Sarah Elizabeth Richard of Crowley, and Ashley H. Romero of Morse; one brother, Purvis Paul Richard of Crowley; two great-nieces, Marleigh Richard and Bryleigh Romero; and two great-nephews, Scott Richard Sibley and Madden Richard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ovey Joseph and Agnes Gautreaux Richard; and three brothers, Kearney Joseph Richard, Curtis Joseph Richard and Joey Joseph Richard.
