Huey Paul Borill

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 16 2017 at First Baptist Church in Crowley for Huey Paul Borill, 88, who died January 14, 2017 at Southwind Assisted Living.  
Rev. Glen Howie, Rev. Cullen Clark, and Rev. Randy Borill will be officiating for the services.  The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Borill was a member of the United States Army during World War II.  He volunteered coaching and umpiring at the Crowley Recreation Department.  Mr. Borill was a Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Hunters Safety Education instructor.  Huey was a conservationist and an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons especially his grandson Gentry.  
He is survived three sons, Randy Keith Borill and his wife, Diana Calhoun of Denham Springs, LA, Huey “Bryan” Borill and his wife, Judy Dailey of Crowley, and Troy Lynn Borill and his wife, Judy Russell of Crowley; one brother, Reece “Black” Borill of Crowley; six grandchildren, Josh Borill, Ryan Borill, Jenny Iris Borill Sievers, Jake Borill, Boedy Borill,  and Gentry Borill; and eight great-grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Jude, Emma, Olivia, Claire, Reese, and Rhyan .
Mr. Borill is preceded in death by his wife, Iris Miller Borill; his parents, Numa and Mamie Stewart Borill; one sister, Rita Schexnayder; and one brother, Albert Borill.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.  
The family would like to thank Lamm Family Care Home Health and Hospice, his two nurses, Sheryl Trahan, and Marisa Sonnier, their aide Kristen Istre, Dr. M.N. Katira, and Dr. Patrick Dale LeLeux, Southwind Assisted Living Center, and his caretakers, Mary and Kenneth Guidry and all of their sitters, Melba Schexnayder  and Ashley Guidry for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion to the entire Borill Family.

Judith K. Semar

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Judith K. Semar, 71, who passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 4:45 a.m. at Southwind Nursing Center in Crowley.
Br. Larry Evans, Pastor of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church in Crowley will be officiating for the services.  Burial will be in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include one daughters, Felicia and husband, David L. Falgout of Estherwood; one son, Travis Guillot of Crowley; one sister, Edith “Bonnie” Gaspard of Crowley; one brother, Charles Kelley of Crowley; three grandchildren, Amanda and husband, Clint Andrew Savoie, Jennifer Falgout, and Travis Ryan Guillot; three great-grandchildren, Riley Falgout, Atticus and Braxton Savoie.
Ms. Semar was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Semar, also preceded in death by the father of her children, John Richard Guillot; her parents, Luther B and Edith H. Kelley.

Joan Lambousy Broussard

Joan Lambousy Broussard passed away peacefully after a long battle with MS.
She is survived by two sons, Chad Broussard and Brian Broussard; daughter-in-law Kimberly Broussard; and six grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Chase, Grace, Sydney and Emily.  
Services will be Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Houston, 11011 Hall Rd., Houston, TX 77089.

Larry Otis Wells

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16,  at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley for Larry Otis Wells, 88, who died Jan. 12, 2017, in Crowley.
Rev. Larry Evans, pastor of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
He is survived by one daughter, Shari Wells Tavera; one son, Joshua Otis Wells; one sister, Nan Crochet; three grandchildren, Karder James, Nancy Gray and Nicholas Gray; and two great-grandchildren, Gael Tavera and Molly Gray.
Mr. Wells is preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Anna McHenry Wells; his second wife, Nancy Carol Hannagriff Wells; his parents, Otis and Nancy Dixon Wells; and one great-grandchild, Gylen Jude Gray.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Wells, Nicholas Gray, John Gaddis, Glenn Hanagriff, Ryan Hanagriff and Jon Scott Chachere.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Aertker, his nurse Jan, his staff and the staff of Hospice Compasses for the service, kindness and compassion administered to Mr. Wells’. Thank you also to St. Francis Catholic School for the prayers and compassion given to Shari and the rest of the family during this difficult time.

Paul Christopher Jarod Mader

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, beloved son of Burton E. and Bettie-Rae (Jeffers) Mader; Loving brother of, Franchelle Mader Jaeger (Dr. Matthew), Dr. Burton J. Mader (Christa), Fabrienne Mader Head (Dr. Gregory), Cpt. Edward J. Mader USA, retired, and Matthew J. Mader (Sarah) passed away. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Ward, Alex, Evan, Samuel, Sophia, Lucas, Evvy Rae, Julia, Joseph, Maggie and Michael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal St., Alexandria, VA 22314 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Sgt. Tracy Allen Morgan

Sergeant Tracy A. Morgan, 51, of Westlake died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, while on duty for the Louisiana State Police.
Sgt. Morgan was a native of Crowley, a graduate of Crowley High School where he played football, where he was named All-District Offensive and Defensive Tackle and was awarded a scholarship to Northwestern State University. He proudly served five years in the United States Marine Corps. Sgt. Morgan obtained an Associate Degree at Louisiana State University at Eunice in Criminal Justice and in 2001 graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He began his career in Law Enforcement with the Lake Charles City Police Department and in June of 1994 began with Louisiana State Police Troop D. Sgt. Morgan worked in Narcotics and Detectives Division and at one time was on Calcasieu Parish Violent Crimes Task Force. He was currently working in the Louisiana State Gaming Division. Sgt. Morgan was also an expert hostage negotiator for the Special Weapon & Tactics (SWAT) Division of the Louisiana State Police. He was a member of the Louisiana State Troopers Association, and was most proud of his affiliation with the local Louisiana Associations of Crisis Negotiations (LACN), having served as Secretary, Vice President and President and has been an Executive Director for many years. He was the “Patriarch” of the local and National Association of Crisis Negotiations (NACN), teaching others 40 hour basic training in crisis negotiations, saving countless lives. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan and enjoyed yard work, working around the house, helping neighbors and friends and golfing. Sgt. Morgan’s greatest times were shared with his family during their annual trip to his favorite place, Disney World. He was a honorable man of faith, a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where he taught Sunday School for High School, and College and Career and was a Royal Ranger leader. As Men’s Ministry leader, he coordinated the Widow and Single Mom’s Oil Change Program. He served the past ten years on the Deacon Board. Sgt. Morgan will be remembered for his love and devotion to his God, his family and his work.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of 22 years, Beverly Singley Morgan of Westlake; three children, Bryan Keylen Trahan and wife Hailey of Jennings, Timothy Allen Morgan of New Iberia and Melissa Morgan-Pousson and husband Everett of Lake Charles; one grandchild, Trevor Trahan of Jennings; his father, Carroll L. Morgan and wife Joyce of Crowley; brother, Kent Morgan and wife Janet of Houston; sister, Jenifer Carrier of Houston and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Maggie Singley of Delhi; brother-in-law, Rev. Loyd Singley and wife Patsy of Crowley; and sister-in-law, Barbara Rose and husband Rev. Walt Rose of Anna, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Wilmoth Morgan and a nephew, Lance Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Stephen Perry, Rev. Sullivan Turner, Rev. Loyd Singley and Rev. Walt Rose will officiate. Interment will follow Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley. Visitation Friday will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation Saturday will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Trae Jamal Darby

Trae Jamal Darby, 30, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, in Crowley. He was born on March 26, 1986, in Lafayette to his parents Andre Ned Darby and Donald Darby Sr.
Trae was preceded in death by Charles Ned, Mark Darby, Carlton Darby, Mable Lee Rideaux, Lawrence Rideaux and Joseph Hatchett.
Trae leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Andre Ned and Donald (Verna) Darby; his sisters, Arie Ned of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Dondraya Darby of Crowley; his brothers, Jeremiah Ned of Houston and Donald Darby Jr. of Crowley; and the rest of his family and friends that knew and loved him.
The visitation services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 927 W. 7th Street in Crowley, at 8 a.m. with service following at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Sherard Martin Joseph. Burial at South Crowley Cemetery in Crowley.
