Crowley Garden Club ‘Plants it Pink’ at Acadia General

As part of the National Garden Clubs Inc.’ s “Plant it Pink” Project, the Crowley Garden Club added to the landscaping at Acadia General Hospital by planting pink rosebushes and bedding plants to honor breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as raise breast cancer awareness. A number of Acadia General Hospital staff members were on hand for the official presentation of the new plants to the hospital on Wednesday. Present were, from left, James Stewart, James Roteff, Glenn Dailey, Tiffany Young, Becky Jones, Sharon Real, Shelly Reiners, Brammer, Katie Schmaltz, Scott Istre, Deborah Wilson, Kim Hoffpauir, Pam Trahan, Casey Meche, Roberta Guidry, Acadia General CEO Heather Harper, Charmaine Vidrine, Judy Faulk, Caroline Marceaux, Linda Guidry, Diane Henderson, Petitjean, Coignard and Crowley Garden Club Treasurer Marlene Brantley.

Lambert performs at national 4-H event

Hunter Jon Lambert, right, was one of only two 4-H’ers from across the country chosen to perform at the National 4-H Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Terril Faul, left, a Church Point native, was one of only 14 people inducted this year.
