City, parish and state officials were joined by well-wishers for ceremonial groundbreaking ceremonies Tuesday afternoon at Miller Stadium to mark the turfing and upgrades program currently underway there. With shovels to “turn the first dirt” are, from left, State Rep. John Stefanski, Police Jury President Chance Henry, Sustainability Partners’ Dan Dupaix, Aldermen Sammy Reggie III and Clint Cradeur, Rec Director Peter Kirsch, Mayor Tim Monceaux, City Engineer Tim Mader, Alderman-at-Large Steven Premeaux, Rec Department’s Jeanette Guidry, Alderman Lyle Fogleman and Rec Department’s Neomi Forrestier.
