In an effort to lower expenses, the Acadia Parish Police Jury is considering offender monitoring devices in lieu of housing parish inmates in other jails around the state.
Though the candidates have all but been officially nominated, Louisiana Republicans and Democrats have the option Saturday of casting their ballots in the Presidential Preference Primary.

The Crowley Community Development Association is a newly founded nonprofit organization that has partnered with the City of Crowley to help develop a strong, diverse community by implementing creative strategies based on knowledge and resources to enhance economic growth and development for the city.
