Dale Paul “Hippy” Mayer

Words of Comfort will be shared on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Dale Paul “Hippy” Mayer, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at 10:20 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Chief Jimmy Broussard will share comforting words with Dale’s family and friends.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, at 11 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include his companion, Connie Thibodeaux of Crowley; two daughters, Trina Mayer of Ohio and Tracy Chambers of Ohio; two step-daughters, Christy Broussard of Houston, Texaas, and Sherry Romero and husband Kenneth Luttrell of Lafayette, Indiana; one son, Robert Romero of Crowley; his father, Wallace J. Mayer of Crowley; two sisters, Bonnie and husband Paul Dixon of Broussard, and Karen Mayer of Crowley; sisters-in-law Freda Morgan of Crowley, Cathy and husband Wendell Thibodeaux of Iota, and Sandra and husband T.J. Hebert of Crowley; one brother-in-law, Joey Broussard of Crowley; eight grandchildren, Hayle, Nevaeh, Hayden, Hannah, Summer, Melissa, Caleb and Kayla; one great-grandson, Grayson Luttrell; and several uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mayer was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Primeaux Mayer; one sister, Elaine Mayer; and several uncles and aunts.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Amanda Sands and fiancé Ramsey Olivier for their support during their time of need.

Wilmer Lefedge

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Fe. 23, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Crowley for Mr. Wilmer Lefedge, 92, who passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, in Crowley.
Interment will be in West Crowley Cemetery.
Rev. Sherard Joseph, pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Lefedge leaves to cherish his memories his three sons, Orlando Lefedge and Mark Sinclair, both of Crowley, and Wilbert Lefedge of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Jessica Guidry of Port Arthur, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Lefedge was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Leola Tyler Lefedge; his daughter, Lavetta L. Boutte; six brothers, Nalton Lafedge, Roy Lafedge, Clarence Lafedge, Gilbert Lafedge, Joseph Alex Lafedge and Lloyd Lafedge; and three sisters, Leola Lafedge, Mary Elva “Aunt Sis” Lafedge and Virginia Lafedge.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church.
