William Ray Simon

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16 at 10 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for William Ray Simon, 75, who passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:50 p.m. at the Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Kie Hebert Cemetery in Roberts Cove.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, July 14 at 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 16 at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife fifty eight years, Betty R. Simon of Roberts Cove; one son, Randy and wife, Annette Simon of Roberts Cove; one daughter, Mary Ann and husband, Cory Hebert of Coteau; two brothers, Donnie Simon of Carencro and Clarence “Cotton” Simon of Hemphill, Texas; three sisters, Sally Richard of Roberts Cove, Glenda Leger of Roberts Cove, Brenda Wiggins of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Joshua Simon, Layla Simon, Hailey Hebert, and Holly Hebert; one great-granddaughter, Kylee-Ann Simon.
Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Altha Mae M. Simon.

Craig Joseph Duhon

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16 at 11 a..m in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Craig Joseph Duhon, 23, who entered into eternal rest at his home surrounded by his family, friends, and his beloved dog on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 3:18 p.m.
Brother David Broussard will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, July 15 at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 16 at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Craig had a personality larger than life, always positive and seeing the best in every situation. From his love of dinosaurs, video games, super heroes, Star Wars and Doctor Who to visiting with family and friends and eating a good meal. He never met a stranger. Craig truly loved his life and never let his disability stop him from enjoying his life to the fullest.
Survivors include his parents, Greg and Kiisha (DuBois) Duhon of Estherwood; his brother, Cole Duhon of Estherwood; his dog, Bo; his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Loretta Duhon of Jennings; his maternal grandmother and step grandfather, Cheryl and Richard Foreman of Estherwood; his maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Allen and Patricia DuBois, Ocean Springs, Mississippi; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends that he viewed as family. Special thanks to Compassus and Dr. Robert Aertker for going above and beyond to fulfill Craig’s final wishes. Carrying Craig to his final resting place are Cole Duhon, Keegan Fontenot, Steven LeJeune, Derek Regan, Wyatt Steen and Coby Meche. Honorary pallbearers will be Malachi Beller and Steve Gogola.
