Robichaux, Leger exchange vows

Couple to reside in Broussard following trip to Maui, Hawaii

Olivia Ann Robichaux and Phillip Daniel Leger were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, July 21, during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette.
The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Joel Faulk.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Jeanne Robichaux of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Samuel and Laura Rosenbaum and the late Paul Broussard of Crowley, and Ray Robichaux and the late Sylvia Robichaux of Crowley. She is a 2008 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education. She is currently employed as a second grade teacher at Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy in Youngsville.
The groom is the son of Daniel and Cynthia Leger of Crowley. He is the grandson of Stella Duhon and the late Raymond Duhon of Crowley, Irby and Stephanie Leger of Crowley and the late Florence Leger. He is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering. He is currently employed as a Senior Field Engineer and Supervisor with Expro Americas in Broussard.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, sleeveless Yaron Mikado ball gown with pockets and an elegant bateau neckline with beautiful scoop back trimmed in illusion and beaded lace appliques with Swarovski crystals. An attached bead and Swarovski crystal belt and crystal buttons over the zipper closure added a hint of shimmer to the gown. She also wore a cathedral length veil trimmed in lace appliques, beads, and crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of greenery, various shades of pink ranunculus, stock, and garden roses accented with an ivory, satin ribbon.
Attending as maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Jeanne Claire Robichaux. Her bridesmaids included her sister-in-law, Sarah Robichaux, and her cousin in law, Carli Graf. The bridesmaids wore various styles of dresses designed by Amsale in the color fawn.
Attending as best man was the groom’s friend, Trey Broussard. His groomsmen included his brother in law, Andre Robichaux, and his friend, Zachary Doty.
Readers for the ceremony were the bride’s godfather, Tony Robichaux, and the groom’s godmother, Phyllis Nassour.
A formal reception immediately followed at Le Pavillon in Lafayette. The Thursday prior to the ceremony, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by Daniel and Cynthia Leger at Mazen Grill.
Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the couple with reside in Broussard.

Curtis John Guidry

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in St. Mary Church for Curtis John Guidry, 95, who passed away on July 21, 2018.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Guidry joined the U.S. Naval Reserves at the age of 20. He served as an Aviation Metalsmith in WWII and spent a total of 16 months in the Pacific. He spent a total of 35 months in the Reserves and received several awards and honors. Mr. Guidry owned College Shoe Shop and spent 50 years working as a shoe cobbler. He was a member of the VFW Post #9822, Lafayette Boat Club, Crusin Cajuns, Blackie Forestier Fan Club, the Greater Gulf Coast, and Coteau Deior Dance Club. He loved to Cajun dance, travel the US in a camper, and fish. He saved many souls.
Curtis, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Pierre Guidry and the former Elodie Broussard.
He is survived by his children, Warren P. Guidry and wife, Stella, and Becky G. Latiolas and husband, Harry; grandchildren, Marcus Latiolais, Bryan Guidry, Christy G. David and Ronda Richard; six great-grandchildren, Alexus Latiolais, Bryana Guidry, Hayden and Sophie David and Gracie and Jade Richard. Also, step-daughter, Sandra Leblanc and husband, Larry; step-son, Lucien Mire and wife, Michele; eight step-grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 62 years, Eula Mae Trosclair Guidry; his second wife of 4 years, Mazel Mire Guidry; and one sister, Hazel G. Veron.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Latiolais, Bryan Guidry, Jerad David, Hayden David, Mark Richard and Jade Richard.

Dallas Delhomme

Rayne - Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, for Dallas Delhomme, 85, who died Saturday, July 21, at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Christopher Cambre, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Lee Delhomme and spouse Earline and Allen Ray Delhomme; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Delhomme; four brothers, Preston Delhomme and spouse Barbara, Nathan Delhomme, Mason Delhomme and spouse Darlene and Tommy Delhomme and spouse Priscilla; three sisters, Delta Delhomme Trahan, Anna Lee Delhomme Foreman and Barbara Jean Delhomme Champagne and spouse Aaron; 11 grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dora Brousssard Delhomme; father, Alton Thomas Delhomme; mother, Rita Alleman Delhomme; two sons, Steve Michael Delhomme and Dallas James Delhomme; and three sisters, Judy Ann Delhomme, Eva Dell Delhomme and Mary Grace Delhomme Comeaux.
Pallbearers will be Harold Delhomme, Allen Delhomme, Dawn Delhomme, Dallas Delhomme Jr., Derek Delhomme and Shad Delhomme.
A rosary will be prayed Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Thursday, July 26, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Friday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
