Kathleen Marie Sonnier
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Kathleen Marie Sonnier, 64, who died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at 5:55 p.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited Monday at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Kathleen is survived by her mother, Geraldine C. Sonnier of Crowley; three sisters, Mary Theresa Sonnier of Crowley, Rachel S. Burke and husband Robert of Crowley, Alicia S. Trahan of Crowley; two brothers, Michael Sonnier and wife Lena of Crowley, Gerard Sonnier and wife Sonia of Crowley; three nieces, Melissa Fontenot, Kirstin Trahan and Mandy Burke; seven nephews, Michael Sonnier, Jr., Erich Sonnier, Bradley Sonnier, Clinton Sonnier, Cody Sonnier, Trevor Sonnier and Jacob Trahan; ten great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Burnell Joseph Sonnier; one brother, Thomas Sonnier.

Alice Rose Fushing Radelat
Alice Rose died on Dec. 8, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, after a long battle with leukemia.
She was born in Natchez, Mississippi, on July 30, 1930, the third of five children of Hiram Rushing and Clementine Lofton Rushing, both of Lincoln County, Mississippi, and now deceased. She was raised in Natchez and graduated from Natchez High School.
She was married in New Orleans in 1956 to Robert Radelat, the second son of Elsa Maspero Radelat, whose parents were Corinne Delvaille and Lombard Maspero, and Paul Radelat Jr., whose parents were Pauline Bernard Radelat and Paul Radelat, all of New Orleans and now deceased, and was blessed with three fine, healthy, happy children.
She settled with her family in Baton Rouge 1969. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother Carlton Rushing of Winnsboro, Texas; by her sister Marjorie Baroni of Natchez, Mississippi; and by her sister Joanne Jordan of Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her beloved husband Robert; by her son, James of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; by her daughter Judy and husband Steve Linscombe of Mountain Home, Texas, and their children Chas, Ryan and Darian; by her daughter Jenny and husband Rob Murphy of Germantown, Tennessee, and their children Matthew, Ben, and Anna; by her sister Jeanette Bibbens of Fuquay-Varina, Noerth Carolina; and by her brother-in-law Dr. Paul Radelat of Houston, Texas.
Private funeral services and interment of her earthly remains were performed Dec. 11, 2017, at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.

Joan Richard Stroderd
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joan Richard Stroderd announces her passing on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette with her loving family by her side. She was 65.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Jules Cemetery with Father Paul LaFleur as celebrant.
Joan was a cashier at Walmart for 19 years and always greeted you with a smile. She loved to read, especially her Bible, attend her grandkids functions, watch football, and go to church, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them was a great joy.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of 47 years, Allen Paul Stroderd of Tepetate; her five daughters, Joan Yvette Stroderd of Eunice, Danielle Elizabeth Stroderd and Rebekah Michelle Comeaux and husband Steve, all of Tepetate, Anya Nicole Guillory and husband Eric of Eunice and Amanda Claire Beard and husband Corey of Tepetate; her sister, Bernadine Smith of Plano, Texas; her 13 grandchildren, Tori Sonnier, Taylor Fontenot, Brooks Stroderd, Lexi Champagne, Maci Stroderd, Mackenzie Comeaux, Madison Comeaux, Meghan Comeaux, Caroline Beard, Claudia Beard, Colby Guillory, Colleen Beard and Sarah Guillory; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Fontenot, Grayson Fontenot and Zoe Sonnier; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lula V. Young; father, Roosevelt Richard; and step-father, Edmund Young.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Monday, Dec. 18, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
The Catholic Daughters will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday.
