Fair Craig King Hash

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church for Fair Craig King Hash, 86, who died Thursday December 7, 2017 at Life Care Hospital in Shreveport.
Interment will be in the Rayne Cemetery Inc. in Rayne.
Rev. Chris Blanchard of Centenary United Methodist Church will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Fair Milligan and husband Dr. Ed Milligan of Shreveport; son, James W. “Bo” King and wife Debbie C. King of Baytown, Texas; three granddaughters, Kerri Ellen Gonzalez of Baytown, texas, Lindsey Paige Beggs of Shreveport, and Kasey Erin Sanchez of Palestine, Texas; three grandsons, Barry S. Milligan of Shreveport, Reggie Milligan of Shreveport, and Craig A. King of Baytown, Texas; six great-grandsons, Peyton Milligan, Sawyer Beggs, Hunter Sanchez, Caleb King, Aidan Gonzalez and Caden Alvarez; nine great-granddaughters, Madison Fair Milligan, Chandler Milligan, Emerson Milligan, Baylor Beggs, Addison Gonzalez, Zoe Sanchez, Natalie Sanchez, Raegan Barfield and Keatyn Barfield; and a brother, Robert B. Craig and wife Grace.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank F. Hash; a great-granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Milligan; father, James Hugh Craig; mother, Myrta Fair Bradbury Craig; and two brothers, Richard “Dickie Boy” Craig and James H. Craig and wife Kate.
Pallbearers will be John Quebodeaux, Jimmy Craig, Bobby Craig, Bill Gregory, Michael Handy, Harvey Hawkins and Larry Menard.
The family requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Friday Dec. 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at Centenary United Methodist Church in Rayne on Saturday Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lydia Bergeron Comeaux

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10:30 am in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA for Lydia Bergeron Comeaux, 96, who died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette LA.

Interment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery #1 in Church Point, LA.

Rev. Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA will be conducting the funeral services.

Mrs. Lydia Bergeron Comeaux was born in Church Point, LA and lived in Rayne, LA for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed sewing, and gardening.

Survivors include sister, Mildred Bergeron Hammond and husband Lou of Lady Lake, FL, numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Comeaux, daughter, Bernadine Comeaux, father, Eustice Bergeron, mother, Aline Bergeron, sister, Winnie Bergeron Gautreaux, four brothers, Clifford Bergeron, brother, Laurace Bergeron, brother, Avery Bergeron, Ferdie Bergeron.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne LA on Monday December 11, 2017 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.

Anna Cormier Menard

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Anna Cormier Menard, 92, who died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at Rayne Guest Home in Rayne.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include two sons, Carroll Menard and wife Elaine, and Chris Menard and Melissa; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Johnson and Rita Cormier and husband Eric.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Menard; daughter, Brenda Hollier; son, Patrick Menard; father, Joseph Cormier; mother, Elise Credeur Cormier; eight brothers, Albert Cormier, Gertis Cormier Sr., Percy Cormier, Louis Cormier, August Cormier, Fernest “Johnny” Cormier, Gilbert “Gil” Cormier and Junius Comeaux.
A Rosary will be prayed Monday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.

Glenn Lucas

Memorial servies were held on Dec. 8 at Riverside National Cemetery for Glenn Lucas, 85 who died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, in Corona, California.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, attended one semester at West Point and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in geology. He then worked for Mobil Oil and later became a self-employed real estate broker.
Mr. Lucas is survived by one daughter, Shelly Lucas Rossi; one son-in-law, Anthony Rossi; and one grandson.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Guy P. Lucas and Jessie Roberts, and brother, Larry Lucas.
Glenn was an animal lover and requested donations be made to the ASPCA or other animal charity in his memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Arlington Mortuary in Riverside, California.

Marshall William Shelton

Celebration of life services led by Brother George Bates will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Life Church in Winnsboro.
Marshall William Shelton, 76, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport. He will be laid to rest at Chase Cemetery in Chase under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Visitation will be observed on Friday, Dec., 8 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Mulhearn Funeral home in Winnsboro.
Marshall was born on Aug. 18, 1941, in Monroe. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1959 where he was a key player on the Gilbert Demons Basketball Team. He attended Northwestern State University and Northeast Louisiana State College.
He worked in the District Lab of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for 35 yearsS. Never one to sit still, after retirement his second careers included Job Developer for Louisiana Workforce Development and healthcare marketing for Woodlands Behavioral Hospital.
Marshall never met a stranger, he had a smile for everyone and could always brighten your day. Even though his personality leaned toward lobbying and marketing, he could have been a farmer in another life. His garden was right at the top of the self- proclaimed “biggest tomato and best cucumber” competition that ran for years among his close friends. His yard and stocked pond were pristine. He could be seen on his lawn mower at least three times a week, maybe even more if the grass dared to grow an inch.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was extremely proud of his family; spending time with them was his greatest joy.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patti Joseph Shelton; one daughter, Angie Shelton Snuggs and Todd of Winnsboro; four sons and their spouses, Billy Shelton and Carla of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Jamie Shelton and Carol Ann of Pineville; David and Nancy Reeves of Guatemala City, Guatemala; and Matthew and Ashley Reeves of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Emily Shelton Carter and Rhett and Noah Shelton, all of Augusta, Georgia; Isabella Shelton of Hot Springs; Elizabeth and James David Shelton of Pineville; Matthew Snuggs and Brittany of Beaufort, South Carolina; Laci Snuggs Moreau and Joshua of Maurice; Joey Snuggs and Kayla Knotts of Pineville; Nico Reeves of Guatemala City; and Amelia and Miles Reeves of Virginia Beach; seven great-grandchildren, Brylee and Jaxon Moreau, Isaac, Parson and Hixon Snuggs and Remington and Ryder Carter; and one sister, Katie Shelton Chiasson and her husband Larry of Crowley, along with numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Emma Lofton Shelton, and his twin brother, Marion Edward (Bubbie) Shelton.
Pall bearers include Edward Beall, Todd Ulmer, Clark Smith, Devon Goodman, Sonny Wilson and Frankie Joseph, with honorary pall bearers Johnny Lofton, Lefty Hassell and Walter Shelton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marshall’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.

Rev. Nerma Lee Chretian

Rev. Nerma Lee Chretian, 77, departed this life on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles. She was born on January 19, 1940, to the late Walter Davis and Mary Andrus Davis in Mermentau.
She worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 44 years as a Histology Supervisor. She was the co-pastor with her husband, George Chretian, at Bethel C.M.E. Church in Crowley, for 10 years and was supported and well loved by everyone. She began her ministry at Reeves C.M.E. Temple under the leadership of Rev. Dr. H. Leon Williams, presiding Elder. She was a stewardess, an exalter and was over the prayer ministry and later became a local pastor at Reeves C.M.E. Temple in Lake Charles.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of 56 years, George Robert Chretian; two daughters, Tonya Chretian and Shelley Chretian all of Lake Charles; two sisters, Ernestine Gantt (Charlie) and Etta Scott, both of Arlington, TX; one brother, Carroll Davis of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Quenton Stevens (Tamaya) and Quincy Stevens (Britney); five great grandchildren, Evans Stevens, Camille Stevens, Quenton Stevens, Jr., Quincy Stevens, Jr., and Queson Stevens and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. On this Friday, December 8, they would have celebrated their 57th year anniversary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Davis, and two brothers, Walter Davis, Jr., and Harold Davis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 9 a.m., and funeral service at 11 a.m., at Reeves C.M.E. Temple, Bishop Thomas L. Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.

Constantine Caillier

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Baptist Church for Constantine Caillier, 44, who passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at her residence in Lafayette. Rev. Matthew Kelso will officiate the services. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Born September 28, 1973 in Dayton. Ohio, she is survived by four children, Vontorius Richard, Dominique Caillier, Cateria Caillier, and Devonte’ Servick; her father, Harvey Richard, Jr.; two sisters, Patrice Henry (Sammy) and Cleopatra Allen (Trevor); two brothers, Harvey Richard, III and Cody Richard; six nephews, Chancey Charles, Da’Vandre Williams, Christian Richard Okafor, Trevor Allen, Jr., Bryce Henry, Trevor Allen, III; and three nieces, Kaylan Richard, Hope Henry, and Hailee Richard; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one child, Angel Caillier; her mother, Mary Richard; her sister, Angela Richard; her paternal grandparents, Harvey and Julia Richard; her maternal grandparents, Merlene Calloway and Allen Bell; one uncle, Prentice Bell; and three aunts, Liza Alexander, Murty Reed, and Helen Leonard.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 9 from 11 a.m. until time of services at St. Joseph Baptist Church, 1219 W. Hutchison Ave, Crowley, LA
