Bertha Menard Doucet
Rayne - Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Bertha Menard Doucet, 94, who died Saturday Jan. 20, 2018 at Rayne Guest Home in Rayne.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne LA will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Doucet of Rayne, Alden Doucet of Moss Bluff, Dalton Doucet and wife Verna of Rayne; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Joseph Doucet Sr.; two sons, Russell Doucet and Bradley Doucet; her parents, Placide Menard and Aline Mire Menard; two sisters, Ida Menard Legnon and Iris Menard Guidry; and four brothers, Wallace “TB” Menard, Brenice Menard, Lennis Menard and Amos Menard.
A Rosary will be prayed Sunday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Sunday Jan. 21, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday, Jan. 22, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kent Joseph Johnson
Rayne - Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel. for Kent Joseph Johnson, 58, who died Friday January 19, 2018 at Rayne Guest Home in Rayne.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Survivors include wife, Judy B. Johnson of Rayne; daughter, Desiree Johnson of Lafayette; stepson, Seth Boudreaux of Rayne; brother, Wilfred Johnson and wife Brenda of Rayne; niece, Rachel Guidry and husband Tyler of Rayne; nephew, Curtis Johnson of Rayne; great-niece, Myra Lejeune; and great-nephew, Gunner Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Mae Cahannin Johnson and Louis Johnson.

Roger Dale Klumpp
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Roger Dale Klumpp, 71, who died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Fr. Jude Thierry officiated for the services. The family requested visiting hours be held Friday from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A rosary was recited Friday evening at 7 p.m.
Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iota.
Mr. Klumpp is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly LeJeune Klumpp of Tepetate; two sons; Marshall Dale Klumpp and wife Angie of Tepetate, and Mitchell Klumpp and wife Jenny of Tepetate; two daughters, Amy Klumpp Miller and husband Eric of Tepetate, and Allison Klumpp Welch and husband Keith of Oakdale; one brother, Ronnie Klumpp and wife Candace of Tepetate; six granddaughters, Anna, Abby, Allie, Ashley, Alex and Caitlyn; and four grandsons, Aaron, Logan, Josh and Briggs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Belva Hebert Klumpp; and one granddaughter, Bailey Miller.
Mr. Roger was most passionate about his grandchildren and spending time hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.
Pallbearers were Logan Klumpp, Josh Klumpp, Briggs Klumpp, Michael Dean Klumpp, Blaine Arabie and Branson Redlich.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tracie Klumpp, Sheryl Trahan, and Bobbie Granger of Lamm Family Care Hospice; and Dr. Eugene Brierre, P.A. Eric Buller, and nurse, Vonna of Hematology and Oncology of Lafayette, LA.

Ruthy Thibodeaux Boudreaux
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ruthy Thibodeaux Boudreaux, 83, who died Jan. 18, 2018 in Lafayette.
Fr. Edward Duhon, Priest in Residence of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to time of service. Deacon Dan Didier will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
She is survived by one son, Robert Boudreaux of Crowley; one daughter, Roxanne B. Hanks of Crowley; two sisters, Cephronia T. Prather of Rayne and Juanita T. Storey of Tallulah; one brother, Kenneth Thibodeaux of Lake Arthur; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Sabrina Hanks.
Mrs. Boudreaux is preceded in death by her husband Roy J. Boudreaux, her parents, Willis Thibodeaux Sr. and Mary Alice Monceaux Thibodeaux; two sisters, Ira Jane Broussard and Emma Moring; and one brother, Willis Thibodeaux Jr.

Geraldine O’Pry Suire
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Geraldine O’Pry Suire, 90, who died Jan. 20, 2018, at Southwind Assisted Living.
Fr. Edward Duhon, priest in residence of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A Rosary will be led by Deacon Timothy Istre at 6 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Suire graduated from St. Michael Catholic High School in 1944. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She loved reading, water color painting, crocheting and interacting with her family on Facebook. She never let her lifelong hearing impairment hinder her outlook on life.
She is survived by five children, Michelene Suire Moody and her husband Neil of Bridge City, Texas, Brenda Suire Devillier and her husband Steve of Crowley, Glenn Suire of Crowley, Jane Suire Istre and her husband Timothy of Bridge City, Texas, and Carolyn Suire Higginbotham and her husband Gerard of Lafayette; one sister, Barbara O’Pry Bernard and her husband Eugene of Canton, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and her sister-cousin, Gearlin Colligan of Crowley.
Mrs. Suire is preceded in death by her husband, Bernice Louis Suire; her parents, Bernice and Marie Miller O’Pry; one sister, Jeanette Roussel; one brother, Michael O’Pry; and her daughter-in-law, Emily Suire.
Pallbearers will be Chance Istre, Michael Suire, Tyler Bearb, Jacob Moody, Jake Carlin and John Paul Bland.
The family would like to thank her nurse, Judy Baily, the staff of Southwind Assisted Living and Lamm Hospice for their care, kindness and compassion given to Mrs. Suire and her family.

Gloria Lavergne Stelly
MIRE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Gloria Lavergne Stelly, 57, of Mire, will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Mire.
Father Michael Arnaud, pastor of Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church, will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Assumption of the BVM Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Mire.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Stelly passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 in a Lafayette hospital.
Mrs. Stelly was a 1979 graduate of Carencro High School. She was a faithful member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire.
Survivors include her husband of over 36 years, Mason Stelly of Mire; sisters, Ruby Richard and husband Shelton of Scott and Linda Leger and husband Ray of Scott; brothers, Darrell Lavergne and wife Sherry of Carencro and Calvin Lavergne of Cankton; sisters-in-law, Nell LeBlanc and husband Leewood of Scott and Marita Moody and husband Edward of Rayne; brother-in-law, Elvin Stelly and wife Angela of Mire; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. Stelly in death were her parents, Olevien Lavergne and Angelina Menard Lavergne; sister-in-law, Jackie Babineaux Lavergne; and brothers, Horace Lavergne, Willis Lavergne and Ronald Lavergne.
